This is the first of many Fresh Air Friday videos. Mrs. Bowden and I take the children down to the river to explore. For the first few times, we focus mainly on safety. We walk the perimeter we are allowed to play inside. We look for unsafe materials like glass and ask adults to remove them. We are allowed to play with sticks as long as they are shorter than our arms. We dig. We climb. We explore. We observe. We find living things. We problem solve. We get scratches and bumps. We learn how to get up and move on. We learn to love nature and the outdoors.
