Every spring I look forward to sharing the experience of incubating eggs with my students. We learn about the life cycle of chickens, talk about and participate in building a habitat and experience the miracle of new life. The children have been very good "mommas and poppas" - trying to be quiet, checking the temperature of the incubator and making sure there is always lots of water. As they left on Friday, we had 3 chicks which we named Spaghetti, Jasper, and Oscar. Over the weekend, two more hatched.
